Applying these design principles to her own family home, Gemma transformed a nearly 200-year-old Regency country house into a contemporary home that remains true to its heritage. Restoring its original splendour, Gemma set about reinstating sympathetic original features, such as reclaimed pine floors, and white oak trusses in the expansive Japandi-style kitchen.

Organic materials sit alongside clean-lined, modern joinery and a monochromatic base palette, creating a beautiful interplay between old and new. A relaxing neutral colour palette runs throughout the home, warmed by accents of khaki, ochre, and dirty pink.
